Hockey Day in Wiarton
Well, it`s catch up time again, so I will start with a few weeks back!!
On Nov.23, Wiarton Arena put on the first of 2 hockey days in Canada. The next will be in the new year in Lion's head.
Our local team saw action against local team #1 for the first game of the 2 day event. What a crazy night as both teams saw short benches as alot of the girls were in a Novice Girls tournament in Stratford. Both teams played a fast actioned game, with players switching lines alot as there were only 9 and 10 on the benches.
Scoring goals for our team was Frankie Handley, Jonah Marshall, and Ryan Baker putting in 2. Assists went to Ryan, Jonah and 2 to Frankie!!
Goals for team #1 went to Trayton Jones, Creedence Jones and Elijah McNair. There were no assists to report. By the end of the game we were up by one to win 4-3. What a fun start to a fun weekend!!
