Jr Tyke Predators Play Well in First Game Action...
The Bruce Peninsula Tim Horton Jr Tyke Predators played their first game of the season vs the TCDMHA Rebels in Desboro on Tuesday, February 4th.

Not only was this their first game of the season, but for many of the kids it was their first experience ever in game action.
The kids played fantastic for coach Alexa who also was experiencing her first ever game as a coach!

The night was fun filled with many cute moments in the game.  Both teams were very well matched and both sides went away feeling very happy with their teams performances.

The highlight of the night in which was probably agreed by everyone in the stands happened when 4 year old Mason Bell picked up the puck in front of his own goal crease and proceeded down to the other teams end zone.

While Mason was doing this, he controlled the puck very well from end to end, but he wasn't alone, the right winger, Shailan Miller was 2 feet to his right keeping pace, his left winger, Shiloh McNair was 2 feet to his left keeping pace, his left defencemen, Nathan Miller was 1 foot to his left and 2 feet back while the right defencemen, Broguen McManus was 2 feet back and 1 foot to his right.

The kids looked something similar to the Mighty Ducks movies carrying the puck as a group, Led by Mason in one big 'W' Shaped attack formation, eventually ending with Mason scoring his first goal of his career!
The 5 kids went down the ice on a 5 on 0 the whole way as the TCDMHA players seemed confused and delayed a little and I would have to say this was by far the cutest thing I've ever witnessed at a ice rink during any game!

The game was fun from start to finish as the TCDMHA players displayed plenty of talent and had plenty of chances to score on our goaltenders who took turns every shift trying their hand at being Roberto Luongo.

The game eventually had to end and the final verdict saw the Tim Hortons Predators win 11 to 5.

Not sure if it was by design by the referees or just coincidence, but all 10 kids who traveled down to Desboro recorded at least 1 point on the night.
Goals and assists for Bruce Peninsula went as follows:

Wyatt Thomas had 5 goals and 2 assists
Michael Rouse had 1 goal and 2 assists
Shailan Miller had 1 goal and 1 assist
Mason Bell had 1 goal and 1 assist
Broguen McManus had 1 goal and 1 assist
David Rouse had 1 goal and 1 assist
Gregory Nadjiwon had 1 goal
Shiloh McNair had 2 assists
Luke Keeshig had 2 assists
Nathan Miller had 1 assist

Tremendous game for Wyatt and to David, Shiloh, Nathan, Broeguen & Shailan for their back checking efforts.
Gregory, David, Mason, Michael, Luke and Nathan all displayed some awesome goaltending skills too!
Congrats to all the kids on their personal success and as a team as well.
Special thanks goes to both coach Alexa Miller & coach Greg Nadjiwon for guiding the kids this season.
It was a very great time for all the parents to watch!!!
