Pee Wee locals calm the Storm!
With A total team effort the kids rallied together for the win....
With the Storm scoring first with 4 minuits left in the first the kids gathered themsalves up and never looked back. With a second period player move that boosted the tempo of our troops we scored a powerplay goal. Ryan N scored on a sweet feed from Keith R and second assist to Lucas C. we kept the pressure on and the kids were rewarded, Justin B sprang Jacob C with a perfect tape to tape feed and Jacob would not miss.Ryan B would get credit for the second assist. With 21 seconds left in the second the Storm would tie the game back up with a nice goal that Jimmy almost stole from them. Jimmy played outstanding and would shut the door on them for the rest of the game. Keith R scored our next three goals with helpers from Lucas, Finn, 2 from Brock and the last one from Jacob.
The players of the game went to Lucas C (coach Paul), The "D" group (coach S) and Justin (coach Andrew)
The captains choice for player of the game went to Ryan N.
Special recognition with a round of aplause from his team mates and Coaching staff went to Lucas for his "Iron Man" like third period. He was asked if he had the legs to go the distance, he simply went out and shut down the Storm . He showed us that we made the right decision to give him the "C". Alot was asked of all the kids today and not one of them disapointed.The proof was on the score sheet and there faces afterwards.
