Win Some, Lose Some, Tie Some
Well it has been a very exciting month, and its not over yet! With 4 games left in the season, 3 away and our last home game on December 29, in Lions Head against Mount Forest will have us finishing our regular season in an exciting manner. Come cheer loud and make some noise to help our boys finish up the regular season on a positive note.
Well we have been busy and over all had great hockey. 6/0 seems to be our lucky numbers, giving us two big wins, and our goalies shared shut outs against Shallow Lake and Lucknow. We had a tight back and forth game against Mount Forest, big hits and fast hockey. We came out strong, taking an early 3\0 lead on their ice, but as the game dwindled on so did our energy level and ended in a slight 7\6 loss. We look forward to a rematch on Dec. 29 in Lions Head. Playing Shallow Lake a couple of more times, and West Grey, we ended our run with 3 big wins.
We also had the support of great AP players from the Midget Local team and Bantam Rep team. Thanks Boys!
The boys traveled to Palmerston for a tournament in November too. Going into the tournament with high spirits we were soon cut down with penalties and calls we may not have agreed with. We ended up losing our two games, and headed home earlier then anticipated but ...on the bright side, enjoyed a great team get together over lunch at Crabby Joe's!
Over all our season has been very positive, great coaching and a great bunch of players will put us sitting nice in the standings to finish the regular season, this I have no doubt about. Our team record sits at a proud 6-3-2 and it will only get better.
