Novice Preds Take Two From Lakers...
The Bruce Peninsula Predators Novice #1 Locals resumed WOAA Playoff action with a pair of games vs the Shallow Lake Lakers #1 team.

The first game was in Lions Head on Friday, March 4th and the kids played a terrific team game on route to a 5 to 1 victory.
Michael Rouse was in net for the win and made some good timely saves when called upon.
The passing in this game was instrumental in our teams success as we showed lots of energy and team work all game long.

Special congrats to Nathan Miller for getting his first ever goal in Novice hockey with an excellent Wrist shot from the blue line.
Skyler Campigotto led the offensive charge as he recorded a hat trick and 1 assist while Broguen McManus had 1 goal and 3 assists.
Asher Simpson had 3 assists while Dalton Fries, Shiloh McNair & Mason Fortin each had 1 assist.

Great job on moving the puck around and looking for the right play kids!

The second game was back to Shallow Lake the next morning at 10am vs the same Laker #1 team.
This time, Shallow Lake came out flying right away, and Michael Rouse would have to come up big a couple different times early on in the net for our squad.

But after a few shifts, our kids settled in and began taking the play to their opponent with great determination and proceeded to take the game over, eventually winning 7 to 1.

Mason Fortin had a big game as he had 2 goals and 3 assists while Dalton Fries had 2 goals and 2 assists.
Asher Simpson and Skyler Campigotto each had 1 goal and 1 assist while Gabriel McNair was outstanding on the blue line recording 1 goal in the game.
Payton Cawthorne, Shailan Miller, & Broguen McManus each had 2 assists while Ashton Boyle would round things out with 1 assist.
The team now is in 2nd place thus far and has a record of 3 wins and 1 loss in the 6 game round robin and will face the Saugeen Shores Storm #2 on Sunday, March 6th in Port Elgin.

SSMHA #2 is currently in 1st place and so the winner of this game most likely will win the WOAA North West Division and move on to play in the WOAA 'A' Divisional Finals starting March 13th.
Great job so far kids, keep up the amazing play and you'll give yourself a fair chance to have success!
We are so proud of all of you for working so hard and being prepared to play the right way!
