Rebels had there guns out
The TCDMHA Rebels came out hard and fast but the Predators held the score to 1-1 at the end of the first. We just didn't play our game for the next 30 minuites and it showed on the score sheet. It was not a complete loss as we now know how they will play us on Saturday and WE WILL BE READY!
Emily received the first star of the game again as the Captains choice and she deserved it, there is no give up in this girl. With only 1:30 left on the clock and down a man she forechecked hard and got the puck to Ryan in the slot for our last goal.
Coach Derick picked Kiniw for his tough play on D, the only slap shot of the game and he stood in front of it. Keep up the good work big man you are learning the position well.
Coach Jim selected Trayton for his play on D and his excellent rushes which resulted in a nice goal in the third period.
Coach Andrew selected Tristan as an AP from Atom, this boy is not afraid to go in the corners or to cary the puck. He has excellent puck control and when he doesn't have the puck he works hard without it. He had a nice body contact play in the second but resulted in a tripping penalty. He is a good fit for our team and a pleasure to coach!
There are 4 kids that don't get the selection very often and they are Josh, Sasha, Ryan and Emma, these kids sometimes get overlooked because we the coaches take for granted that we have them on our team. I don't think this is necessarily for them but for the readers. These kids very rarely miss a practice when called upon in a game they do what is necessary and we never here complaining from them. They are our captains and with that I have noticed they wear it with pride.
