Preds win lopsided affair
Thursday night was a special night to say the least. We had 9 different goal scorers, with one scoring his first goal of the year and another scoring for the first time EVER!
The first period was no indication of how the game was going to end, yes we had great D and we had some plays that were highlight real worthy. Like the give and go between Josh and Sasha. Sasha received the pass from Josh, the D collapsed down on him and the goalie committed to him. He sauced a nice one to Josh who was all alone and made no mistake by putting it away with authority.

The Capitols played great hockey and the goalie was very good for the first twenty five minuets. We were up 3-0 after one, the Capitols responded with a pair in the second but we quickly scored three more before the period was out. In the third period our defence was steady and our offence was firing on all cylinders, when we went up by  6 I made the decision to let the defence play forward and our top 4 forwards play defence. What happened next was just so exciting for parents and the team. First Devan went down in the second and we thought we lost him again when he got up holding his shoulder he had injured two weeks earlier. But in the third period he showed no signs of a wounded warrior as he potted his first goal of the year.
Then not one or two but all four of the defence scored in a row. Trayton scored his second of the game on his first shift as forward. Then Finn gave a great pass to Kiniw in the slot for his second goal of the year. Then magic happened, the clouds parted, the stars aligned and Frank hammered home his First ever goal! I heard there were a few tears of joy shed in the stands when Frank potted his first carer goal. What a game for you Frank, it was the stand out game of the year for you and not just because you scored but your total game effort.
Ryan rounded out the scoring after picking up a loose puck in the neutral zone and taking it for the point.
Great game and a total team effort by all. Way to go!
The coaching staff are excited to see what happens today in Hanover.
