Novice Girls, 2012-2013 (Bruce Peninsula Minor Hockey)

Stratford Aces Festival Cup Challenge Tournament in Statford, Ontario, St. Marys Ontario, and Milverton, Ontario
featuring 96 girls hockey teams.

The Predators Novice 'C' team lost 4 games on the weekend.
Gm#1 was 8 to 0 loss to Woolwich Wild
Gm#2 was a 13 to 0 loss to the Lucan Irish
Gm#3 was a 8 to 0 loss to the St. Marys Rock
Gm#4 was a rematch and a 10 to 0 loss to the Lucan Irish who went on to win the finals with a 3 to 0 victory over the St. Marys Rock.

St. Marys Rock won 3 to 1 over Woolwich in round robin and 4 to 3 in the Semi Finals.
Lucan and St. Marys tied 1 to 1 in the round robin.
Lucan was a near perfect 4 wins no losses and 1 tie in the tournament and the Woolwich Wild won only 1 game in the tournament in which was over the Predators.

This is the International Silver Stick Tournament in honor of Caitlan Cobean being played in Port Elgin, Ontario at the Plex Rec center and in Southampton, Ontario at the Southampton Colliseum.
The tournament will also use the arena's in Tiverton, Ontario,and Paisley, Ontario for back up as the Novice, Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam, and Midget age girls will challenge each other for the overall 'C' International Silver Stick Grand Champions.
This will be the first time a Novice team from the Peninsula Predators will challenge at a tournament of this significance and will be joined by the Bantam & Midget teams from the Bruce Peninsula Minor Hockey Association as well.

The Peninsula Predators Novice 'C' girls competed in their first ever International Silver stick competition in Saugeen Shores.   The Predators lost the first game 5 to 1 to the host Saugeen Shores Storm. Then they tied their second game on Saturday morning 1 to 1 with South Huron Sabres of exeter, Ontario.
They received a 4 to 0 bye win over the Seaforth BCH Stars who backed out their entry leaving the Preds, Sabres and Storm all with 1 bye win each. 
The semi finals saw the Storm advance to the finals with the seaforth BCH team forfieting once again, the second semi final saw the Predators enter as they home team in second place vs the 3rd place South Huron Sabres.
The Predators lost the game in the last 2 minutes of the game as they took a 0 to 0 tie into the 3rd and scored first, but eventually gave up 3 quick goals and lost the match up 3 to 2.
Saugeen Shores then beat South Huron 6 to 1 in the championship.
