Pinkertons Auto Supply Win 4-1
In their third game of the regular season, played in Wiarton on Tuesday night, the Bantam Reps faced a familiar team again.
The Shallow Lake Lakers made an appearance in Wiarton just two days after facing Bruce Peninsula in the Georgian Shores Fall Classic.
The Preds were forced to use a very short bench with a couple of player missing due to illness. This presented itself a challenge. A very good first period for both teams as the score stood at 0-0. Two minutes into the second period, Brendan Gilbert scored to lead 1-0. Goals by Luke Burrows and Riley Masterson and with Shallow Lake scoring, the Bantam Reps went ahead 3-1 going into the third period. A late goal by Brendan Gilbert for Bruce Peninsula with 5 minutes remaining gave the Preds a final score of 4-1.
Again, great effort, working hard and staying focused allowed us to accomplish our goal.
This Saturday, the Banatam Reps will be in Lions Head to face the Lucknow Sepoys at 3:30pm, then Sunday night we drive south to face Hanover at 7:30pm.
