First Game Of The Official Season
Wow, what a way to start off our regular season! We endured
a very physical game, with tempers increasing as the time clock ticked on.
In the first period, we had our first goal of the season, netted by # 13, Trenton, assisted by #7, Jonny and #9, Nick. Way to go to our first year players. You really set up the pace for the game! After Trenton’s goal, they tried to take him out of play with a wicked check. He missed several shifts, and had to leave the bench with a sore tailbone. Hope you are feeling better Trenton. By the end of the first period, the score was 1-1.
The second period started strong with #3’s, beautiful break away, unfortunately it was a near miss. A noble effort Owen. The whole team hammered the Arthur goalie with multiple shots. Our boys were fired up, but were either missing their mark or being shut down by the Arthur goalie. Arthur was doing the same, putting Brennen through quite a work out. Great determination while making all those saves Brennen! As the period slipped away, tempers were rising and the period ended 3-1 for Arthur.
In the third, # 15, Andrew, score 2 more goals for the Peninsula Predators, both assisted by # 10, Wade and #18, Daniel. Good team wok boys! The game ended with the tension high, both on and off the ice, showing a score of 4-3 for Arthur. See you again soon boys, keep your heads up and your sticks on the ice! Great effort and team work was shown by all of our players!
