First Game of WOAA Playoffs
On Saturday, February 9 the Peninsula Pee Wee Predators played their first game of the WOAA Playoffs against the Listowel Cyclones during Hockey Day in Canada in Lion's Head.

The Predators scored early in the First Period with a goal by Wade assisted by Andrew and Owen. The team came out hitting and passing and was able to keep Listowel off of the scoreboard for the remainder of the First Period.
Period Two saw the Reps score again on a goal by Josh with assists by Daniel and Andrew. The Predators continued to play strong and by the end of the period they led the Cyclones with a score of 2-1.
The final fifteen minutes of play were perhaps the most exciting.  The crowd at Hockey Day in Lion's Head was treated to a real "edge of their seat" battle between these two evenly matched teams.  Scoring in the Third Period went back and forth.  The Predators scored first (Wade assisted by Owen and Parker) with the Cyclones scoring a little over one minute later.  Listowel scored again to even things up.  The Peninsula Reps took the lead with 3:38 left in the period on a goal from Daniel assisted by Wade and Owen.  The Cyclones were not about to go out without a fight and scored the game tying goal with only 45.7 seconds left in the game.  Josh, Owen, Andrew, Breyden and Ethan gave it their all in the last shift of the game and scored the game winning goal with 25.9 seconds left on the clock.
The Pee Wee Reps meet the Cyclones again in Listowel next Sunday, February 16 at 5:25.  It should be another exciting battle.
