On Thursday Jan 17 in Lions Head, the Pinkertons Auto Supply Bantam Reps beat the West Grey Huskies 2-1 and sweep the series in 3 games to advance into Round 2 of the OMHA playoffs.
Game 1 was played last Sunday Jan 13 in Durham where the
Predators beat the Huskies by a score of 4-2. Goals were scored by Brendan Gilbert,
Dexter Bridge, Benton Lancaster and Brandon Fletcher. Between the pipes for the
Predators was goaltender Kevin Furgal.
Game 2 went Tuesday night in Lions Head with the Predators winning
by a score of 5-2. Another Hat- trick by Brandon Fletcher along with other
goals by Benton Lancaster and Dexter Bridge solidified the win. Kevin Furgal
played well for the Preds.
With winning the toss for home ice advantage in Game 3, we played
on Thursday Jan 17 in Lions Head. This game was much tougher as our boys found
it difficult to complete passes and find the net. With West Grey going ahead
1-0 in the first period, Benton Lancaster scored with a shot from just inside
the blueline to tie the game midway through the second period. The game winner
was scored by Clay Hellyer with just over 4 minutes left in the game.
Goaltender Chris Latimer was kept busy in the third period stopping all but 1
shot.
The next game for the Pinkertons Auto Supply Bantam Reps
will be Game one of round 2 OMHA Playoffs vs the Minto Mad Dogs next Saturday
Jan 26 with a game time of 3:30 in Lions Head. We will be heading back to
Harriston the next day (Sun) for a game at 5:30PM.
This is the beginning of a very busy February schedule for
our club, so please come out and support your Bantam Reps and feel free to bring
the whole family.
All playoff games (OMHA and WOAA) will be posted on our
website as soon as we receive confirmation. All games will be posted within the
next few days.
