PeeWee locals stun ice dogs for 2 periods!
Thursday Oct 23rd the Ice Dogs traveled to Wiarton and tied us 3-3, with our players holding the blue ice strong. Tonight we traveled to Paisley for a re-match and put the Ice Dogs on Ice for 2 full periods. With great puck possession and heads up passing we jumped out to a 2-0 lead by the first minuet of the second period. The Ice Dogs clawed there way back to tie it up going into the break. The coaching staff were urging the kids to dig deep for the third period but came out flat.
The Ice Dogs win this one 8-3, but the coaching staff are very proud of the kids and all the hard work. Our 3 stars for tonight's game are, Jimmie for standing on his head for 3 periods and giving your team a chance. We will work on clearing the blue ice! Finn for his heads up play in the offensive zone, where he should have had a goal and another assist, keep your stick on the ice! And Justin for his tenacious effort up front and hustle in the D zone keep up the hard work we can already see a huge improvement from the first practice! Honorable mention goes out to our AP player Ryan B for holding his ground with the giant Dog coming at him #88. Not once but three times he stopped him, keep working hard!
