Novice Preds Win Twice More...
The Bruce Peninsula Predators Novice #1 team played twice more heading into Christmas break and continued to show improvement in their play.

The first game was on Friday, dec 18th in Wiarton vs the aEMHA Ice Dogs White #2 team.

The Predators were terrific out of the gate and finally didn't let the first goal of the game be scored by their opponent.

Michael Rouse was really solid in net all game.  He almost got himself another shutout as he had been making some great stops during the game including on 3 breakaway chances in the 3rd period before he finally surrendered a goal with just 14 seconds left in the game to win by a final score of 6 to 1.

Dalton Fries and Asher Simpson both had 2 goals and 1 assist to lead the offensive attack.
In a great defensive effort, Gabriel McNair had 3 assists with his great plays all game long.
Mason Fortin had 2 goals, while Shailan Miller had 2 assists.
Broguen McManus, Shiloh McNair, Lillie Dowd, Payton Cawthorne, Ryan Hickey and Skyler Campigotto all each chipped in with 1 assist a piece.

The kids would then travel to Desboro to take on the TCDMHA Rebels #2 team on Dec 20th as the final game before Christmas break.

The team was quick to show the Rebels who they were as we scored 13 seconds into the game on a great shot by Dalton Fries.
In fact, this would be all we would need to secure a victory as we found the back of the net 4 times in the first period.
Even though the score sheet would show otherwise, we didn't play well in the first period as a whole, a little scrambled and out of position at times, but we found our game in the 2nd period and kept it going in the 3rd period to win by a final score of 5 to 0.

Goals were scored by Dalton Fries with the Hat Trick, Broguen McManus with 1 goal and 1 assist, Asher Simpson with 1 goal, Shiloh McNair and Gabriel McNair contributed with 2 assists each while Mason Fortin, Payton Cawthorne, Ryan Hickey, Shailan Miller and Skyler Campigotto rounded out the offensive attack with 1 assist each.

Great job kids, really happy for all of you contributing in a lot of different ways on both sides of the puck and for showing respect and great sportsmanship along the way!

Merry Christmas to all of you and your families from our entire coaching staff.
