Novice Preds Kick Off New Year
The Bruce Peninsula Predators Novice #1 team kicked off the new year schedule with a home game in Lions Head on Friday, Jan 8th vs the Shallow Lake Lakers #1 team.
This was the Preds first game in 12 days after the Christmas break and turned out to be a close affair with the tight checking Lakers players and along with some outstanding goal tending by SL goalie Sean Nicholls who has only given up 15 goals all season after a 1 to 1 tie with our kids.
Both teams played reasonably well considering there was plenty of rust to contend with for both coaching staff's.
In the end it was Michael Rouse who took home the draw for the Preds between the pipes while his teammate, Skyler Campigotto scored on a break away to get our only goal.
Congrats to both teams on an entertaining game.
