BPMHA Novice Local's Battle This Week...
The Bruce Peninsula Novice Local #1 and #2 teams have a pair of games against each other this week, one was an exhibition game in Wiarton this past weekend and the other is on Friday, Jan 22nd at 7pm in Lions Head.
The game in Wiarton was slow getting going as we were waiting for refs to show, but eventually we got it going and the kids put on a show for all!
BP#2 player, Cole Shindler had his 3rd straight hat trick in as many games, and Noah Bell scored early too as the BP#2 had a 4 to 1 lead at one point, but being short handed with some kids at the Attack game skate with a player function, they started to show some fatigue and the BP#1 team eventually passed them to score a victory.
Asher Simpson had 2 goals and 3 assists, Skyler Campigotto had 2 goals and 1 assist, Dalton Fries, Shailan Miller, Michael Rouse and Ashton Boyle all had 1 goal and 2 assists each, Gabriel McNair had 1 goal and 1 assist, Colton Hepburn had 2 assists while Mason Fortin, Lillie Dowd and Payton Cawthorne all chipped in with an assist each.
Broguen McManus played in net for BP#1 securing his 3rd victory of the season.
Mason Bell was outstanding in net for BP#2 as he made a lot of spectacular saves during this game.
Congrats to Ashton for his first ever goal in hockey and to Michael for scoring his first of the season and to Colton Hepburn for getting his first ever points in Novice hockey.
Also want to congratulate the defensive play of MJ Klunder and Kenneth Lee as well as to Cole Shindler on his scoring abilities as of late!
Keep up the great work kids, you all are really improving fast!
