Ladies lose to Silver Stick Champs
The Peninsula Predators Novice 'C' Girls visited the Saugeen Shores Storm in Southhampton last week and lost a very hard fought battle 4 to 0.

The two teams had just played each other over the weekend at the International Silver Stick tournament in which the Predators finished second after round robin and 3rd overall while Storm went undefeated in the tournament and became the 2013 champs.

This game was fast right from the beginning, the Storm were pumped up after their tourny success, but the Predators played hard and never backed down from the challenge as they knew they could compete with their team.

The 2 teams went into the 3rd period with a 0 to 0 tie and Laura 'Big Saves' Naves was practically standing on her head throughout the 1st 2 periods.

But Saugeen would finally score to break the tie with just over 10 minutes left in the 3rd period.
They would then add another with 5 minutes left, and 2 more in the last minute of play.

Great game girls.  This was not a 4 goal game performance, and you all worked so hard!
Really strong game put up by Payton Lisk, Sahara Weatherhead, Gracie Wheeler and Morgan Daries as they were really hustling and fore checking hard on their defence and made them sweat a bit in their own end with the puck.

Next action for the girls is on March 9th in Southhampton at 6:00p.m. vs the Saugeen Shores Storm once again.
