Pee Wee Reps Still Looking For First Season Win
Despite playing hard and having lots of chances the Pee Wee Reps have yet to get their first win of the season.
On Saturday, November 2nd the Predator's travelled to Shallow Lake. Jon C. played his first full game in net for the Predators but despite some huge saves they lost the game 5-1. Scoring the lone goal for Bruce Peninsula was Nic with an assist from Jacob.
The following day, November 3rd, the Pee Wee Predators opened their season at home with a game in Wiarton against Mount Forest. Mount Forest scored the only goal in the first period. Bruce Peninsula scored early in the second period (Sam B., assisted by Nic and Clayton). Unfortunately, the Rams kept fighting and took every opportunity they could to shoot on our net. They scored a total of five goals in the second period and added another five goals in the third.
On Thursday, November 14th Arran Elderslie was in town. Nic, assisted by Clayton, scored the only Predator goal of the game. AE won with a final score of 12-1.
Jon C. was in net again for the Sunday, November 17th game against the TCDMHA Rebels. This game proved to be the closest one of the season so far. Neither team scored in the opening ten minutes of play. TCDMHA scored twice in the second period to take a 2-0 lead. The Rebels scored again early in the third period to take a 3-0 lead. Clayton put the Predator's on the scoreboard with an assist going to Jacob at 11:21 of the third period. TCDMHA scored once more in the the third to win the game 4-1.
Hanover arrived in Wiarton on Sunday, November 24th to take on the Predator's in their second and final match up of the regular season. Hanover started the first period off quickly with a total of three goals. Bruce Peninsula scored with only seconds left on the clock in the opening period to close the scoring gap. Jon P. scored the goal unassisted. Period two saw the Falcon's score four more unanswered goals. Hanover was relentless and they scored twice in the the third to win the game 9-1.
The Pee Wee Predator's travel to Keady on Wednesday, November 27th @ 7 PM to take on the TCDMHA Rebels. Hockey Day in Wiarton sees the Reps playing @ 8PM on Friday, November 28th. It is an exhibition game against Saugeen Shores.
